Earnings from Palantir, Lucid and Beyond Meat
European index futures point to a lower opening of the cash session on the Old Continent today. This is a reaction to the reversal on Wall Street that took place after close of the European cash trading session on Friday. Newsflow during the weekend was light and no news surfaced to trigger bigger moves on the markets. Oil launched a new week's trading slightly higher as Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian naval vessels are becoming more frequent and there is a risk that it will limit Russia's ability to export its crude via Black Sea.
Economic calendar for the day ahead is very light. There are no noteworthy reports scheduled for the afternoon while Sentix index for August (9:30 am BST) is the only report left to report during the European trading hours. German industrial production print for June was already released and showed a deeper-than-expected drop. While the biggest US companies have already released their earnings, there is still a number of firms left to report and among today's highlights one can find Palantir Technologies, Lucid Group and Beyond Meat.
