Post-FOMC risk-off moods remain on the markets and European indices are set for a lower opening of today's cash session. DAX futures (DE30) flirt with 15,800 pts handle while S&P 500 futures (US500) trade at 2-week lows. USD trades higher against all other major currencies.
There are no major releases scheduled for today. Norges Bank will announce the rate decision in the morning but it is expected to stay on hold. US jobless claims data will be released in the early afternoon but it no longer moves the markets as it used to at the start of the pandemic.
US retailers - Kohl's, Macy's and Ross Stores - are reporting Q2 earnings today.
