Eurozone industrial production below expectations

December eurozone industrial production fell -6.8% y/y vs. -6% forecast and -6.6% previously
On a monthly basis, the decline was in line with forecasts, at -0.3% vs. -0.7% previously

The EUR weakens against the USD after the publication of weaker-than-forecast data. Investors expected a better result in December (y/y) than in November, meanwhile, the reading showed an even stronger slowdown, year-on-year.
