European indices started Wednesday's trading lower after the first US presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden turned out to be very chaotic. Candidates interrupted and insulted each other, what has only caused more elections uncertainty. Trump also made some comments signalling he may not hand over power in case of Biden win if he thinks elections were manipulated. Debate was widely criticized in the US media, labelling it as one of the worst presidential debates in history.
DAX managed to recoup part of the losses at the beginning of the session but still trades around 0.3% lower on the day. S&P 500 futures trade 20 points below yesterday's cash close.
DE30, along with other indices, pulled back after the US presidential debate (orange circle). However, downward move was halted at 12,665 pts price zone in the morning European trade. Source: xStation5
