US consumer sentiment University Michigan above expectations

US, consumer sentiment according to the University of Michigan for February.

Current: 66.4 Expected: 65.0 Previously: 64,9

Expectations index - 62.3; Forecast: 63,1

Current conditions - 72.6. Forecast: 68,5

Annual inflation rate forecast - 4.2%. Previously - 3.9%

Forecast 5-year inflation rate - 2.9%. Previously - 2.9%

Wall Street is higher after the UoM data reading. The future inflation decline is still unsure however overall data suggest that good economy and labor market means higher corporate earnings. Annual inflation expectation rate is higher after the data, means the tuesday US inflation reading will be crucial for market sentiments.
