US Redbook signals solid US department store sales 🔔

Redbook US same-store sales rose by 6.6% from a year earlier in the week ended Sept. 6 after a 6.5% year-over-year increase in the previous month. The number is solid and again - an average US consumer seems to be quite strong compared to the labour market data, which are weak and suggesting a slowdown.
