BlackBerry Limited (BB.US) announced that Volvo Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy-duty trucks, buses and construction equipment, will use BlackBerry QNX operating system as the foundational software in the over 300,000 heavy vehicles Volvo manufactures every year. Swedish car manufacturer wanted to find a single supplier for the operating system and hypervisor to meet the needs of the ‘whole truck’, capable of supporting safety certification to the highest levels. Developers will have the opportunity to design the best possible system for Volvo, taking into account the requirements of the next 15 years, including future support for autonomous driving and electrification, BlackBerry said in a press release.
BlackBerry (BB.US) stock launched today's session higher, however buyers failed to break above the upper limit of the ascending channel and price pulled back towards the lower limit of the pattern. The nearest support is located at 50 SMA (green line). Should a break lower occur, then downward move may accelerate towards support at $8.37. On the other hand, if buyers will manage to regain control, then upward impulse towards resistance at $10.08 could be launched.Source: xStation5
