O Banco do Japão (BOJ) deverá rever em alta as projeções sobre a inflação para 2023 e 2024, sugerindo que os preços poderão atingir ou ultrapassar a meta dos 2% durante três anos consecutivos. As discussões sobre a revisão da previsão da inflação para o atual ano fiscal para mais perto de 3,0% também permanecem abertas.
Esta mudança sobre a trajetória da inflação faz com que o banco possa começar a alterar a atual política monetária em breve. A juntar a tudo isto, o Banco do Japão reconheceu que as empresas passaram mais custos para os consumidores finais do que o esperado anteriormente.
