Extended Trading Hours lets you follow prices and trade selected US stocks outside regular market hours. Once you enable the service, you can track price changes before and after the regular session and choose which orders may also be executed during extended hours.

What changes on the platform?
Once the service is enabled, prices of instruments covered by Extended Trading Hours may also update outside the regular session.
This applies to:
prices in Market Watch,
chart prices,
open position valuations
and displayed returns.
If you hold an open position in an eligible instrument, its value in your portfolio may continue to change after the regular session ends — even if you do not place any new orders.
Enabling the service does not automatically allow every order to execute outside regular market hours. You choose the execution hours separately for each order.

How do I check availability and trading hours?
Once the service is enabled, instruments that support Extended Trading Hours are marked with a moon icon. A green dot indicates that the market is open, while the moon icon identifies instruments with extended-hours trading available.

You can find service availability and the exact regular and extended trading hours in the instrument information.
The regular session for US stocks usually runs from 15:30 to 22:00 Polish local time. Extended trading hours include additional hours before and after the regular session — check the schedule for your chosen instrument before placing an order.

How do I choose execution hours for an order?
When the service is enabled, you can choose between the following options when placing an order for an eligible instrument:
Regular session only — the default setting. The order may only execute during regular market hours.
Regular session and extended hours — the order may also execute outside regular market hours.
If you select extended hours, an unfilled order may also execute outside the regular session, provided it remains valid and its execution conditions are met. Selecting this option does not guarantee execution.

What should I be aware of?
Outside the regular session, the spread — the difference between the buy and sell prices — may be wider. Prices may therefore differ from those seen during regular market hours, and the value of your position may change.
Sharp price movements may also occur during extended hours, particularly when companies release their financial results. If you allow an order to execute during these hours, these movements may trigger a stop order or lead to a limit order being filled. A limit order remains subject to the price limit you set. Consider how wider spreads and sharp price movements could affect your orders before selecting extended-hours execution.
What happens if I disable the service?
You can disable the service in your account settings. The change applies to all your XTB accounts.
The platform will stop using extended-hours prices for displayed prices, position valuations and returns.
Updates driven by market price changes will once again be limited to the regular session. The extended-hours execution option will no longer appear when you place new orders.
