If your ID card has expired, please make sure to update it in your XTB profile as soon as possible.

An up-to-date identity document is essential for the proper functioning of your investment account. Failure to update it may result in limited access to certain features, such as the ability to withdraw funds.

Requirements for submitting an ID document

To ensure a smooth verification process, please send a clear photo or scan of your ID . The document should be:

  • fully visible,

  • legible, without reflections and light reflections,

  • with visible and legible data , including a photo and expiry dates.

You can take a photo of the document with your phone's camera - the most important thing is that the quality allows for unambiguous verification of the document.

If watermarks are placed on the photo (e.g. to protect the document), they should be added in a way that does not cover any data and does not overlap the photo of the document holder.

MRZ (Machine Readable Zone)

In the case of documents with a Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) - a special area with standardized data read automatically by systems - it is necessary to:

  • the MRZ zone was legible, complete and undamaged ,

  • the photo covered the entire MRZ area ,

  • there were no blurs, reflections or obscurations,

  • the data was readable by verification systems

To update your document in the mobile app, tap the profile icon in the top left corner, go to the Personal Details tab, and select the Edit identification document option. Then, choose the type of document and upload a photo or scan of the selected ID.
