BREAKING: Michigan Consumer Sentiment rose to 81.2 pts, US500 near 3,500 mark

The headline Michigan Consumer Sentiment rose from 80.4 pts to 81.2 pts in October against expected 80.5 pts. Consumer Expectations index came in at 78.8 pts (vs expected 76.5 pts), but Current Conditions index amounted to 84.9 pts, below expected 88.5 pts and and lower on month-over-month basis. 

US500 is currently trading just below the 3,500 pts mark. Earlier the index caught a bid after solid U.S. retail sales report.
