Economic calendar: All eyes on FED

• FOMC rate decision; Fed Chair Powell news conference
• US Retail sales data
• EIA crude oil inventories report

A lot is on the agenda today. FED policy meeting is a key event of the day. No changes in the benchmark interest rates are expected but the central bank is expected to keep its dovish tone and provide updated economic projections. Earlier investors will get to know retail sales figures from the US which may have some impact on the markets. Oil traders should stay on guard in the afternoon as the EIA will release a report on oil inventories.

1:30 pm BST  - US Retail Sales MoM (AUG). Expected:  1.0%. Previous: 1.2%
1:30 pm BST  - US Retail Sales Ex Autos MoM (AUG). Expected:  0.9%. Previous: 1.9%
3:30 pm BST - EIA Crude Oil Stocks Change. Expected: 2.1M. Previous: 2.0M
7:00 pm BST - FOMC Interest Rate Decision. Expected: 0-0,25%%. Previous: 0-0,25%%
7:30 pm BST - FOMC Press Conference.
