Economic calendar: Brexit and the Pound in the spotlight

It is a very quiet day in terms of macroeconomic data releases and many markets will either stay shut or close early today. However, it does not mean that there is nothing to trade on. Brexit news updates and the Pound will be in focus. Reuters quoting sources reported that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson held a late-night conference call with his Cabinet of senior ministers, and negotiators in Brussels reportedly worked on legal trade texts. UK media say the Prime Minister Johnson is expected to make an announcement that a Brexit trade deal has been struck around 0800 GMT today which could trigger a spike in volatility.
