Morning wrap (28.12.2020)

•    US indices finished Thursday's session higher. The Dow Jones climbed 0.2%, S&P 500 rose 0.4% and Nasdaq gained 0.3%.

 •    Positive moods prevail in the Asian markets today. Nikkei rose 0.7%, Kospi added 0.08%  and Hang Seng gained 0.02%. S&P/ASX 200 added 0.33%

 •    DAX futures point to a higher opening of the European session 

 •    President Trump has signed the coronavirus relief bill 

 •    Japan suspended new entries into the country by non-resident foreign nationals  through the end of January 

 •    Industrial output in Japan was unchanged in November from the previous month, compared with a 4.0 % advance in October and against market expectations of a 1.2 % expansion, a preliminary estimate showed 

 •    France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal began this weekend a massive logistical effort to distribute coronavirus BioNTech/Pfizer vaccines across the continent  

 •    Yesterday Bitcoin topped $28,000 for the first time 

 •    GBP and EUR are leaders among major currencies while USD and JPY lag the most
