Russell 2000 (US2000) clearly lags behind during today’s US session. The index is falling 2%, even though other major indices are still posting some minor gains, adding to record levels. US2000 fell below critical support area at 1,990 pts, which might herald a correction. However, it is worth to notice that the index tried to halt declines at 1,970 pts in the vicinity of 200-hour moving average (orange line). As sellers attempt to regain control again, market participants might soon focus on 1,945 pts.
