Xi and Biden phone call was constructive according to Chinese state media

Biden and Xi's conversation lasted nearly 2 hours and according to China's official state press agency Xinhua News, dialog between both presidents was constructive.

President Xi said that China is prepared to provide more humanitarian relief and both sides should enhance communication on all fronts. Both the US and NATO should hold talks with the Kremlin to resolve the Ukraine crisis.

In the President's XI opinion, the US side misjudged China's strategic intentions. He also made some comments regarding Taiwan. China hopes that the US will pay more attention to Taiwan developments as mishandling of this matter can have subversive effects on its ties.

On March 16, Al Jazeera cited Newsweek who cites a Russian intelligence document according to which China has plans to invade Taiwan next autumn. However it is not clear whether the document refers to 2022 or 2023.

We are still waiting for White House comments.
