Factos:
- A configuração de baixa sobre o USDJPY, após a última recomendação, foi confirmada. A taxa rompeu o limite inferior do último canal descendente e está atualmente a testar esta linha a partir de baixo.
- Os outros argumentos permanecem válidos. O iene japonês continua a ser a moeda mais sobre-vendida no G10, perdendo mais de 13% este ano. No entanto, o potencial fim do controlo da curva de rendimentos no novo ano pode incentivar os fundos a investir na moeda japonesa.
- Dada a falta de novas subidas de taxas de juro esperadas pelo mercado, o dólar está a começar a carecer de catalisadores para novos aumentos. Assumindo que o cenário de base sem uma recessão em 2024 se concretiza, podemos já ter visto o fundo do poço para o dólar.

Opinião:
A fraqueza do iene japonês continua a ser evidente em 2023. A moeda foi a que mais se enfraqueceu entre as moedas do G10. No entanto, recentemente, pode haver uma escassez de catalisadores para continuar este movimento. O USDJPY não conseguiu confirmar uma quebra acima da resistência em 151.800 e, após várias tentativas nas últimas semanas, a taxa caiu abaixo de 150.
Estamos atualmente a observar uma quebra do USDJPY abaixo do canal ascendente que começou no início de 2023. A taxa quebrou abaixo da linha (linha azul) e está atualmente a testá-la por baixo. No caso de um retorno às quedas do USDJPY, obteremos a confirmação da configuração e um cenário favorável para abrir uma posição curta. Portanto, recomendamos que tome essa posição e, simultaneamente, defina um stop loss apertado para minimizar o risco.
