ADP report expected to show 200k jobs gain for February
European index futures point to a slightly lower opening of today's cash session on the Old Continent. This comes after a downbeat trading on Wall Street yesterday and in Asia today.
Economic calendar for today includes some top-tier releases and events.Fed Chair Powell will head to Capitol Hill for the second day of semi-annual testimonies (3:00 pm GMT). Text of the speech will remain unchanged compared to yesterday but questions from lawmakers may differ. USDCAD traders should keep on guard as simultaneously to Powell's appearance in Congress, Bank of Canada will announce rate decision. BoC is expected to leave rate unchanged after hinting at a pause at previous meetings. However, even before Powell and BoC decision traders will be offered a final hint ahead of the US NFP report scheduled for Friday - ADP employment report for February. Last but not least, EUR may see some moves throughout the day, thanks to speeches from ECB members.
