4 Dow Jones members to report earnings today
9:00 am BST - Poland, construction output for September. Another piece of the Polish data will be released today. It is expected that construction output in September have increased by 6.6% YoY (5.6% YoY earlier).
1:00 pm BST - Hungarian National Bank rate decision. The Hungarian forint may enjoy increased volatility in the early afternoon as Hungarian National Bank is set to announce interest rate decision. However, the main rate is expected to stay unchanged at 0.9%.
1:30 pm BST - Canada, retail sales for August. Today’s data from Canada may be somewhat overlooked by the market as investors will digest results of yesterday’s elections. Nevertheless, short-term price swing could take place. Market expects a reading of 0.4% MoM when it comes to headline measure.
3:00 pm BST - US, existing home sales for September and Richmond manufacturing index for October. Two pieces of semi-important US data will be released today. Existing home sales data is expected to show 5.45 million while Richmond index should move higher from -9 pts to -7 pts. Nevertheless, one should keep in mind that price reaction is likely to be minor.
7:00 pm BST - Brexit votes in the UK Parliament
9:40 pm BST - API report on oil inventories. A massive build in oil inventories was reported last week. This time market expects a 0.5 million barrel decline. However, more significant reaction is expected tomorrow when the US Department of Energy releases its report.
