US housing market data for August
Situation on the markets have calmed down a bit over the night with European and US futures regaining some ground. However, Evergrande collapse and potential spillover effects remain a key risk. Company is set to pay out interest on its bonds on Thursday and missing this payment may send shockwaves across markets.
When it comes to the day ahead, there are no top-tier releases scheduled. SEK traders will be offered a decision from Riksbank in the morning while API oil market report in the evening may trigger some moves on crude. US housing market data have been largely overlooked by the markets recently. Last but not least, BoJ is set to announce monetary policy decision during the Asian session ahead. BoJ is the first major central bank to announce rate decision this week - Investors will be offered rate decisions from FOMC and BoE in the later part of the week.
