Holiday in the United States and Canada
Stock index futures point to a flat or slightly higher opening of today's cash session for most of the European blue chips indices. Economic calendar for today is very light as it is usually the case for Mondays. However, what may additionally contribute to today's trading being quite muted is the fact that traders from both the United States and Canada will be off for holidays. Cash stock market sessions will not be held in those countries and futures markets will have their trading hours shortened.
