US industrial production data for September
Futures markets point to a slightly lower opening of the European cash session today. Moods deteriorated during the Asian session following a release of disappointing Q3 GDP data from China. Oil and industrial metals gain while precious metals trade mixed. US dollar trades higher against all other G10 currencies. Cryptocurrencies gain ahead of the first Bitcoin futures ETF launch.
Releases scheduled for today rarely trigger big market moves. Investors will be offered housing data from Canada as well as US industrial production reading for September. As it is usually the case for Mondays, there is a limited amount of earnings reported scheduled for release as well.
