Economic calendar: Conference Board survey data and earnings

  • CB consumer confidence expected to drop to 88 pts

  • Riksbank seen staying on hold today

  • Earnings marathon in a full swing

Mixed moods can be spotted on the global financial markets today. Equities struggle for direction while oil continues to pull back. Riksbank will announce rate decision in the morning but no change is expected. CB consumer confidence index for April is likely to draw bigger attention as it is expected to show a massive plunge! Last but not least, a lot of major US companies will release earnings today, including Alphabet, 3M and Caterpillar.
