Economic calendar: ECB minutes and CBRT decision

DAX futures point to a minor drop at the start of the European cash trading. FOMC minutes yesterday turned out to be a non-event. Investors will be offered ECB minutes today but release rarely has a meaningful impact on the markets. Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will announce the latest monetary policy decision at 11:00 am GMT and the market expects interest rates to be left unchanged. Crude is gaining amid supply disruptions in the US caused by arctic weather. Oil will get a chance to move today during the release of DOE data that is expected to show decline

9:00 am GMT - Poland, industrial production for January. Expected: 0.6% YoY. Previous: 11.2% YoY

11:00 am GMT - CBRT decision

12:30 pm GMT - ECB minutes

1:30 pm GMT - US housing market data for January.

  • Building permits. Expected: 1653k. Previous: 1704k

  • Housing starts. Expected: 1654k. Previous: 1669k

1:30 pm GMT - US, jobless claims data. Expected: 785k. Previous: 793k

1:30 pm GMT - US, Philly Fed for February. Expected: 22. Previous: 26.5

4:00 pm GMT - DOE report on oil inventories.

  • Oil inventories. Expected: -2.2 mb

  • Gasoline inventories. Expected: 1.4 mb

  • Distillate inventories. Expected: -1.8 mb
