- European indices set for lower opening
- Final CPI data for April from euro area due at 10:00 am BST
- Speeches from Fed, ECB and BoE members
European index futures point to a slightly lower opening of the cash session on the Old Continent today. This comes after a rather downbeat Asia-Pacific session, during which the majority of indices from the region traded lower. Somewhat disappointing monthly activity data from China can be blamed for a weaker sentiment on the markets.
Economic calendar for the final trading day of the way is almost empty. Traders will be offered a final CPI data for April from the euro area. As this is a final release, no deviations from preliminary values nor major market reaction is expected. However, there are a number of speeches from ECB, BoE and Fed members scheduled for today and those may ensure volatility on the FX markets.
