Economic calendar: Vaccine news leave investors puzzled

  • European markets seen opening flat

  • German ZEW expected to drop in November

  • Fed speakers in the afternoon

US equity futures erased gains triggered by Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine news. DAX futures point to a more or less flat opening of the European session. Economic calendar today looks empty with German ZEW being the only noteworthy release. Investors can expect today's trading to be focused around vaccine news as well as what it means in terms of fiscal and monetary stimulus. Number of speeches from Fed members may shed some light on the latter.

9:00 am GMT - Italy, industrial production for September. Expected: -2% MoM. Previous: 7.7% MoM

10:00 am GMT - Germany, ZEW index for November. Expected: 41.7. Previous: 56.1
