Turkish lira is on the rise today and is a top gaining EM currency against the US dollar. Gains came following remarks made by the Turkish President Erdogan to lawmakers from the ruling AK party. Erdogan said that the new finance minister and new central bank governor have his full support to implement policies. Moreover, Turkish President said that his country is committed to reducing investment risks and, in turn, boosting returns for investors. Lawmakers from the country will also organize meetings with institutional investors. Turkish lira gains 3% against the US dollar and euro today.
