In this edition of My XTB Journey, Nina shares how four years at XTB have shaped her both professionally and personally. From finding her place in the company and developing greater decisiveness to taking ownership of projects like the XTB Investing Masterclass, she reflects on the experiences that have helped her grow. She also shares why collaboration, growth and respect define XTB’s culture for her and why turning ideas into something meaningful is what makes her work so rewarding.
Hi! I'm Nina.
I’ve been part of the XTB team for over four years. I currently work as a Campaign & Social Media Manager in the Marketing Department at the Polish branch. On a daily basis, I’m responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns, as well as developing our social media presence. In my role, I strive to combine strategic thinking with a creative approach, always ensuring alignment with our global communication strategy. Most importantly, working at XTB gives me continuous opportunities for growth and the chance to lead projects that have a direct impact on the company’s brand recognition and market image.
When did you first feel that XTB was the right place for you?
I actually joined XTB by coincidence. At that point in my life, my passion for marketing naturally began to connect with the world of investing, which I was just starting to explore. It was a new and sometimes challenging combination, but also an incredibly inspiring one. However, it took some time before I truly felt that XTB was “my place.” The first months in any new job are always intense, full of learning, meeting new people, understanding processes, gaining knowledge, and developing skills. A breakthrough moment for me was the Invest Cuffs conference, where we exhibit every year. That was when I truly felt I was in the right place. I had started working at XTB shortly after the pandemic restrictions, when in-person interactions were still limited. It was at Cuffs that I could fully connect with the people I work with every day, see their energy, commitment, and passion firsthand. That’s when I understood who really builds this company. And that’s when I felt that I truly belonged.
In your opinion, what makes XTB’s culture unique?
In fact, it’s the people who make XTB’s work culture so unique. I know… it sounds like a typical corporate answer. A few years ago, I might have smiled skeptically hearing something like that. But here, it’s genuinely not just a slogan. The company’s greatest strength lies in its relationships. Everyone treats you with respect and as a partner, whether you’re a junior speaking with a board member or someone from marketing collaborating with IT. There’s no sense of distance or rigid hierarchy separating people. You simply work in a normal, healthy atmosphere, without a rat race and without exaggerated “corporate” formalities. Instead, you’re surrounded by people who recognize your commitment and skills, who appreciate your effort, and who truly support you.
Which XTB value resonates with you the most, and how do you see it reflected in your daily work?
The value closest to me at XTB is “Grow Together.” For me, it’s not just a phrase used in corporate communication, it genuinely reflects my daily work experience. I deeply value effective communication and collaboration, both within my team and across departments. I believe success doesn’t come from individual ambition or working alone, but from the ability to work together, being open to others’ perspectives and willing to share knowledge and experience. Supporting one another’s development, giving constructive feedback, and communicating with respect truly make a difference. It allows everyone to feel they have a real impact and that their voice is heard. This approach helps us grow not only as specialists in our respective fields but also as a team. We learn from each other, inspire one another, and continuously raise the bar together. “Grow Together” is something I practice every day, whether it’s offering quick help on a small project or tackling bigger challenges that require the involvement of many people.
What does "We Make Money Work - Together.” mean to you personally?
The slogan “We Make Money Work – Together” strongly connects with the value I’ve mentioned before. The word “together” is not accidental, iit truly reflects how we operate. At XTB, we want money to work for our clients anytime, anywhere, and regardless of their level of experience. Whether someone is taking their very first steps in investing or is an advanced trader making complex decisions every day, our goal is to create tools that are accessible, intuitive, and professional at the same time. But building and continuously developing such a platform is never the work of one person or even one department. It’s the result of collaboration across many teams. IT develops and constantly improves the technology, ensuring stability and innovation. Product teams expand the offering and adapt it to the changing needs of different client groups. Sales and customer support teams assist users at every stage, answering questions and addressing concerns. Marketing communicates the opportunities our product provides and explains the world of investing in an accessible way. Only the combination of all these, and many more, elements creates a cohesive whole. This collaboration is what gives real meaning to the “together” in our slogan. Thanks to it, we can not only grow the company but also truly influence what investing looks like, not just in Poland, but across many markets worldwide.
What skill or mindset have you developed the most since joining XTB?
Working at XTB has meant not only team development for me, but also significant personal growth. Looking back, I can clearly see how much I’ve learned, gaining new competencies, expanding my knowledge, understanding my strengths better, and consciously working on areas that once held me back. There is one skill, however, that has changed noticeably: decisiveness. In the past, I often overanalyzed, sought external confirmation, and delayed final decisions in pursuit of absolute certainty. Working here has taught me that in a dynamic business environment, you don’t always have the comfort of complete data or unlimited time. Over time, I began taking full responsibility for my projects, not just executing them, but owning them from idea to strategy to final outcome. I learned to make decisions based on my own knowledge, experience, and expertise. That shift has been empowering. Decisiveness builds trust, both in yourself and in professional relationships. When you know you can make a decision and stand behind it, you act faster, more confidently, and more effectively. At the same time, I’ve learned that being decisive doesn’t mean acting alone. It means drawing on others’ knowledge, asking smarter questions, learning from those more experienced, and then making a conscious, informed choice.
What project at XTB are you most proud of?
In many ways, it was decisiveness that led me to the project I’m most proud of today - the XTB Investing Masterclass conference. From the moment I joined XTB, I understood how crucial investor education is. Regardless of experience level, everyone needs reliable knowledge, up-to-date information, and access to materials that support informed decision-making. Investing is not a one-time action, it’s an ongoing process of learning and adjusting your perspective. Investing Masterclass has always been especially close to my heart. Each year, I’ve invested more and more energy into its development. Together with my incredible team and with the tremendous support of our creative and dedicated graphic designers, we create an event that truly delivers value. Every time, we aim to provide a fresh dose of knowledge and inspiration, both for beginner investors and more advanced participants. This project is important to me for another reason as well. It gives me the feeling that my work contributes something meaningful. Free access to high-quality financial education truly matters, especially at a time when investment decisions are often made too quickly and without sufficient knowledge. If even one person makes a more informed, thoughtful decision thanks to this conference, I know that our work truly makes sense.
What motivates you most in your day-to-day work?
In my daily life, I rely much more on discipline than on motivation. I’m fully aware that motivation can fluctuate - one day there’s plenty of it, the next it disappears without warning. If I relied solely on motivation, many projects would probably never be completed. Discipline allows me to stay consistent, even when energy or enthusiasm is low. That doesn’t mean motivation isn’t helpful. During busier periods, when the task list grows faster than it shrinks and time pressure builds, an extra boost can make a difference. What motivates me in those moments? Paradoxically… the vision of relief and satisfaction once a project is completed. I love the moment when I can see the results of my work out in the real world. That feeling, when something I’ve worked on for weeks or months finally takes its final shape and starts to “live” on its own, is irreplaceable. I enjoy closing projects. I enjoy the moment when all the pieces fall into place. Knowing that I’ve taken something from A to Z and done it well gives me immense satisfaction. In more challenging moments, it’s that vision of the final outcome and the sense of ownership that helps me maintain momentum and see things through to the end.
If you had to describe XTB in three words, what would they be?
I reflected a lot on three words that best describe XTB. For a moment, I considered coming up with something more creative, but honestly, the answer is simple and sincere: Collaboration, Growth, and Respect. I’ve already spoken about collaboration, so I won’t repeat myself. Growth? I don’t think I’ve developed as much anywhere else as I have here. I felt the company believed in me and my potential, while at the same time I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best and grow every single day. Growth at XTB doesn’t apply only to employees, the company itself is constantly evolving. When I think about where we were four years ago and where we are today, it’s hard to believe how far we’ve come. As XTB, we strive to be better, more innovative, and responsive to investors’ needs at every level of experience. These dynamic changes naturally inspire you to grow along with the company. And respect? Starting my career in a corporation within an industry still largely dominated by men, I didn’t know what to expect. I had heard many different stories and prepared myself for the worst. The reality, however, turned out to be completely different. At XTB, mutual respect is the foundation of collaboration, regardless of gender, position, or department. You can see this respect in every aspect of work, and honestly, it’s not something you encounter as often in the market as you should.
These three words truly capture what XTB means to me: a place where collaboration drives growth, growth brings a sense of ownership and satisfaction, and everything happens in an atmosphere of mutual respect. That’s what makes working here more than just a daily responsibility, it’s an opportunity to learn, to create something valuable, and to be part of a team that genuinely works together.
