A new week has begun. The main theme for the markets remains the same - China-US relations. Recent media reports and comments from officials suggest we are on course to further escalation. White House vowed to impose economic sanctions on China in case it proceeds with national security law for Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, US and UK traders will be off for holiday today so one should expect thinner liquidity. Economic calendar is light as it is usually the case for Mondays. US earnings seasons is also nearing an end and there are no noteworthy reports set to be released today.
