Crude inventories in the US dropped by 0.447 million barrels in the week ended August 6th, following an 3.626 million barrels decrease in the previous week and compared with analysts’ estimates of a 1.27 million barrels decline, according to the EIA Petroleum Status Report.
Gasoline inventories fell by 1.4 million barrels, following a 5.292 million barrels decline in the prior period and below analysts’ expectations of 1.66 million barrels drop.
US distillate inventories rose by 1.8 million barrels after decreasing 0.833 million barrels in the previous week.
The publication of today's report did not have a significant impact on the oil prices. WTI Oil (OIL.WTI) continues to trade around the $67,50 level. Source: xStation5
