- European markets expected to open flat
- US Consumer Sentiment in focus
- Eurozone trade balance figures
Futures markets point to a more or less flat opening of today's cash session in Europe. Economic calendar is quite light with Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index being the only noteworthy reading scheduled for release. The outlook of US consumers should be little changed in August as job creation and inflation compete with Covid cases for the attention of vacationing Americans. Trade data for the Eurozone and inflation figures from France are also due out but should not have much impact on the market. There are no noteworthy earnings releases scheduled for today.
