Crude inventories in the US dropped by 7.987 million barrels in the week ended July 9th, following an 6.866 million decrease in the previous week and compared with analysts’ estimates of a 4.359 million decline, according to the EIA Petroleum Status Report.
Cushing Crude Oil inventories dropped to 1.589 million barrels, following a 0.614 million barrels decrease from last week.
Gasoline inventories rose by 1.039 million barrels, following a 6.076 million barrels decline in the prior period and above analysts’ expectations of 1.786 million barrels drop.
US distillate inventories rose by 3.657 million barrels after increasing 1.616 million barrels in the previous week.
The publication of today's report did not have a significant impact on the oil prices. WTI Oil (OIL.WTI) continues to trade around the $74,70 level. Source: xStation5
