Federal Reserve announced monetary policy decision at 7:00 pm GMT. Interest rates were left unchanged as expected. However, Fed said that it will be appropriate to hike rates soon as the US economy continues to improve. Central bank noted that pandemic weights on activity. Initial reactions of markets was mostly positive for US assets. US indices jumped while US dollar gained against major peers. Gold also moved higher in a knee-jerk move
