BREAKING: Headline ISM services PMI for August above forecasts

The headline ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI for the month of August fell to 61.7 from 64.1 a month ago. However, the result was slightly above the consensus estimate of 61.5. Other subindices came in as follows:

• ISM Non-Manufacturing Business Activity: 60.1 (previously: 67.0)

• ISM Non-Manufacturing Employment: 53.7 (previously: 53.8)

• ISM Non-Manufacturing New Orders: 63.2 (previously: 63.7)

• ISM Non-Manufacturing Prices: 75.4 (previously: 82.3)
