Economic calendar: CPI data from Canada and Wall Street bank results

Futures point to a lower opening of Tuesday's cash session in Europe. This comes after a relatively weak session in APAC markets, triggered by rising yields on debt securities. Yields on US 10-year notes returned above the 4% barrier.

Highlights of the day include the German CPI report (final), UK unemployment/wage data, German ZEW, US NY Fed Manufacturing and Canadian CPI, speeches by Bailey of the BoE and Waller of the Fed. The calendar will be topped off with quarterly reports from Goldman Sachs, PNC Financial Services, Morgan Stanley and Charles Schwab.
