The final UoM sentiment index for March falls to 62 points, below expectations of 63.3 and the previous reading level of 63.4.
At the same time, inflation expectations come out mixed: on the one hand, a sizable drop in 1-year expectations to 3.6% from 3.8%. On the other hand, maintaining 5-year expectations at 2.9%, above an expected drop to 2.8% and still above 2% Fed inflation target.
