European index futures point to a more or less flat opening of today's cash session on the Old Continent. This comes after a mixed trading during the Asia-Pacific session earlier today and after mixed trading on Wall Street yesterday. EUR and GBP are the best performing G10 currencies while CHF and USD lag the most. However, trading ranges on the FX market are rather narrow.
Economic calendar for today is light and does not include any top-tier macro releases. SEK may see some moves following release of the Riksbank minutes in the morning, while USDCAD traders will focus on trade balance data from the US and Canada in the afternoon. CAD may also see some moves in the evening as BoC minutes are set to be released. Oil traders will focus on DOE data after API report released yesterday hinted at a smaller-than-expected crude oil inventory build. Among today's earnings reporters one can find Alibaba Group (BABA.US), Walt Disney (DIS.US) and Uber Technologies (UBER.US).
