Mexican bank owner wants Bitcoin to be accepted as a legal tender
Over the weekend Bitcoin once again experienced selling pressure that brought the cryptocurrency below major support at 30,000 USD. Nevertheless, an interview with the 3rd richest person in Mexico has appeared in the meantime. Ricardo Salinas Pliego pointed out that fiat currencies should now be considered a "fraud" and that the dollar as a "hard currency is a joke". He also announced that his Azteca Bank is preparing to accept Bitcoin as a legal tender. He pointed out that nowadays one cannot rely on currencies such as the peso, bolivar or even gold. It is worth recalling that El Salvador recently reported that Bitcoin will become legal tender in the country.

During the weekend, Bitcoin bulls managed to defend support at 30,000 USD. One can see that it was the 3rd test of this level lately, just like it was in January this year. The key resistance and upper limit of consolidation is located at 40,000 USD. In addition, an important downtrend line is slightly below this level. Source: xStation5
